Teaching

One of our core values at North East Family Medicine is Education. We value the opportunity to nurture the doctors of the future and introduce them to our community.

We currently have partnership with two organisations.

In 2021 we welcome Tadhg Fitzpatrick. He is a third year Extended Rural Cohort Medical student who will be at the clinic over a 22 week period.

Tadhg will be supervised by one of our GP’s at all times. We appreciate our patients allowing Tadhg to be involved in their consultations and allow him this exciting opportunity to learn.

GP training typically occurs over a 2-3 year period. GP registrars work in a number of clinics to gain experience in different clinical settings.

These registrars are supervised by senior GP’s in the clinic and undertake written and clinical exams and work based assessments.

For 2021 we welcome Dr Sarah Tarrant to North East Family Medicine.
