North East Family Medicine is a General Practice clinic in Wangaratta looking to employ a medical receptionist. We currently have six General Practitioners, two practice nurses and an administration team of five and are looking for the right person to join our team.   

On offer is:

  • A position of 25.5 -34 hours per week (3/4 days per week)
  • Working hours vary between 0800 and 2000 Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings

Essential Criteria:

  • A positive and friendly telephone manner
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage with patients, health practitioners, internal and external stakeholders;
  • Strong organisational skills and outstanding attention to detail;
  • Ability to build positive relationships and maintain patient and practice/workplace confidentiality;
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage multiple and competing work tasks and deliver to agreed deadlines;
  • Be computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office; Word and Excel;
  • Dependable and punctual with mature attitude and strong work ethic;
  • Excellent presentation;

Desirable Criteria:

We are a Private billing practice, which as the name suggests is family focused with a younger clientele in our ever-growing patient list.

Our team consists of 4 medical educators, which gives us a great intimate knowledge of current and future specialist GP training.
