Since we opened in 2018, we’ve strived to continue to be innovative, not just with our patient care but also with the administrative team. Ways we have done this include:

  • The latest Best Practice software
  • E-prescriptions
  • AutoMed systems, for online bookings and automation of processes
  • Remote Desktop access
  • Use of Point-of-Care ultrasound in a general practice setting
  • Telehealth consultations, in primary care with our patients and with specialists from Melbourne or Interstate.
  • Creating sub- specialist interests/clinics such as Antenatal or Skin Clinics, all within the framework of NEFM

We are proud to be a teaching clinic for GP Registrars through MCCC.

Our team consists of 3 medical educators, which gives us a great intimate knowledge of current and future specialist GP training.

We have strong links with local specialist in multiple areas so can help you with any knowledge gaps.

We have an exciting opportunity for a recent school leaver to join our clinic for a gap year position as a medical administrator/receptionist.

You will be the first friendly face welcoming patients to our clinic and your duties will include providing administrative support such as answering phone calls, booking appointments, patient service/support, data entry, assisting with our social media page and helping our doctors.

This will be a full-time position for 38 hours per week, 5 day per week. The successful candidate will show an interest in healthcare, be reliable, friendly, energetic, outgoing, good communicator with a good phone manner, show a willingness to learn and have a team player attitude. It is a diverse role with opportunity to gain experience in all areas of customer service and administration/health care.

This role would be ideally suited to a school leaver looking to enter the workforce or planning a gap year before further study. We are looking for someone to start in January/February 2022 for a 12-month period (this start date can be negotiated).
